Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond Gardens | Montana & Zach

Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond | Montana & Zach

Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond Gardens | Montana & Zach tied the knot in June after 15 years in the making!

Their wedding was such a dream to design! They wanted their wedding to reflect a classic-timeless style with subtle trending pieces, such as geo-watercolor table numbers, herringbone flatware, and medallion chargers. We chose navy as their main color with blush, rose golds, and a pop of coral to incorporate a Summer vibe. Selecting the perfect rentals with Cort Party Rentals from their beautiful new glassware to Paisley Petals lush blooms of coral and blush garden roses, white hydrangeas, and Italian greenery, it made for such a stunning combination.

Not only do they have incredible love for eachother, they have the biggest hearts and used FaceTime to video in out of town grandparents and even reserved their seats during the ceremony. With both sides of their family knowing each other for such a long time, it felt more of a family reunion and was quite the party!

Designing and styling is always a favorite, since we get the opportunity of working so closely with our couples. We will definitely miss working with Montana & Zach especially with our frequent meetings at Lady Yum and Cactus. Wishing you both a well-deserved honeymoon and happiness that lasts a lifetime!

Seattle Styled Shoot | Spring Wedding Inspiration

Spring Wedding Inspiration from our Seattle styled shoot! Can’t believe it’s taken over a year to get this beautiful inspiration up on our blog! We loved putting this shoot together! Each talented vendor that helped and participated enhanced the shoot that much more! We absolutely loved working with this incredible vendor team.

Leading up to the shoot day, we were all carefully watching the forecast. After all, an outdoor April shoot in Seattle is a complete shot in the dark, but we went for it anyway! We waited to set up until there was a rain break, and quickly staged everything as quickly as possible for our lovely and talented photographer, Sonja Morgan with Simply Sonja Photography. She snapped away and got some incredible pictures of the “new” rooftop space booked through Four Seasons Seattle. The views are incredible!

For styling, I wanted to incorporate golds, blushes and the ever popular, marsala! I did this by adding a blush gown from Luly Yang, blush also found in floral and stationery, and a gold palate with the place settings and table-scape! I wanted to highlight the table and modernness of the space by utilizing ghost chairs and glass tables. Touches of marsala are also found in details such as the groom’s shoes, pocket square and pops in the floral.

Despite the weather, this shoot turned out better than I dreamt! Just look at all of the details we captured and again… the view! WOW!

Woodinville Wedding: Delille Cellars | Amanda & Adam

Woodinville Wedding: Delille Cellars | Amanda & Adam were married on a beautiful day in August. This was the absolute perfect venue for these two love birds! Romantic, intimate wooded setting for their ceremony and tented draped in white fabric over a patio for their reception dinner.

Amanda & Adam were one of our many couples planning from out of state, so we had many phone calls, Skype meetings and of course fun design meetings when they were in town. Hiring us for design & coordination, we helped put a color palate and decor elements together to make a cohesive wedding scheme. We recommended light airy colors as they wanted a romantic vibe with a little bit of classic-shabby touches. We had beige and neutral linens to keep a classy element and

Come wedding day, we not only saw all of the elements we helped with, but we saw SO many personal details that Amanda & Adam included which made their wedding that much more special! They had their name and wedding date embroidered on their outfits, personalized gifts for their entire wedding party, they even had personalized coloring books made for the handful of littles in attendance. It was such a pleasure working with Amanda & Adam’s semi-destination wedding (they traveled up from California to tie the knot with their Washington family).

Their vendor team was a dream! From amazing catering team, Herban Feast, to stunning floral by Paisley Petals, and even better dance party hosted by Seattle Wedding DJ, their wedding was phenomenal!

Seattle Wedding: Woodmark Hotel | Sally & Godfried

Seattle Wedding: Woodmark Hotel | Sally & Godfried were married on a beautiful day in June! They hired us for design & coordination, which is always exciting. Working closely with the couple to find their unique style and bring it to fruition with every single detail. Sally & Godfried’s style is very classic with a touch of sparkle. We selected soft blushes, grey and some mixed metallics to tie their color selection together.

Godfried even released his own designer collection with his and his groomsmen’s suits! His line up of men sure looked dapper! Sally selected beautiful long beaded dresses from Nordstrom for her lovely ladies and wore a Pronovias gown herself with a beaded bridal belt.

Details aside, this couple have true and genuine love for each other. Our favorite moment of the day was when Godfried laid down petals down the aisle for his Bride. We wish you two the very best in your marriage!

Our Story | How Weddings By Dani was Started

Our Story | How Weddings By Dani was Started

How Weddings By Dani was Started | If you follow our social media, you might know a little about our story to launch Weddings By Dani. I want to expand on it a little bit more to give you the full picture and inside scoop!

My journey to this amazing business…

I was born and raised in the greater Seattle area. I was on and Captain of my High School Dance Team (called Drill Team back then) and my senior project focused on Wedding Planning. Little did I know that that topic would carry over into my career. I then went to Arizona State University where I founded the Sun Devil Drill Team as a 501-c3/non-profit organization (which is STILL going strong!), and obtained a BA in Business & Communications.

After I moved back home, I started working with my dad at the time and although I loved working with him, the details of the job itself were not what I pictured for the long run. I needed a change and so I took a silly career test and in the little list of careers, paired me as a funeral director. Well, I think it takes a special, special person to be a funeral director, and I certainly wasn’t one. As a fellow entrepreneur, my dad was the one to point out that it’s very similar to wedding planning, loved ones gather, flowers, music, and food to coordinate… etc. I reached out to some wedding coordinators in the area to assist them. I ended up shadowing one planner and fell in love with every aspect of the industry.

After a few years shadowing, I kept dreaming about what could be. I needed to start my own company. Each year, our wedding count has grown. Each year, we meet new vendors and work with old friends. Each year, we get to help clients on their special day! This October, we will turn 6 this year! 6!!!! We have seen several of our interns grow into different roles, some even launching their own companies. I couldn’t be more thankful for their help and in return, I am honored to have given them experiences that could launch them forward. Our current team consists of myself, lead stylist & owner, Shannon, wedding coordinator, and two interns, Alexa and Katherine that are our extra hands on the wedding day and behind the scenes. I am looking forward to this wedding season and growing more in love with my company, team and clients!

xoxo- Dani

Wedding Inspiration | Where to get Inspired

Wedding Inspiration : Where to get Inspired |Designing and styling a wedding is probably one of my favorite things involved in the wedding process. There is so much to consider… different elements to use, linens & flowers, color & texture.. eek! I am bursting in excitement just talking about it! But let’s be honest, as a bride, you don’t want to look like every other wedding on Pinterest, right? You want to be unique to yourself and your soon to be spouse!

As a wedding stylist and designer, I can’t look to other wedding designers in the area or even nation-wide. It’s so important that I get refueled with creativity and inspiration outside of the wedding world. I not only need to be up to date with the current trends, but I need to think beyond what the current trends are and think about what “could be.” I am the one that needs to stay fresh, to give new ideas to my clients and keep them excited about their day!

Style Me Pretty

So.. what inspires me?

  • Home Remodels: I can’t get enough of those HGTV shows. Seriously, it’s a problem! It could stay on all day. Seeing how to transform something non-functional to functional. It makes me want to tackle a huge project all by myself. Even though, little me probably couldn’t hang drywall on the ceiling. But.. It fires me up and makes me want to take on the world!
  • Home Decor: Styling my own home and seeing the endless possibilities of mix and match styles brings out the creativity in me. It helps me to dream and through different pieces create a new style or new look. And isn’t it much harder to decorate a home when you live with your significant other?!
  • Crafts: Being able to imagine and actually get hands on is so enjoyable! Especially, when there’s wine involved and maybe some Bachelor/ette of some sort! 🙂 Whether it’s a gift for a friend or a craft for inside my own home, making something is special and always a reminder it was crafted carefully, thoughtfully.. and cheesy as it sounds, made from the heart.
  • Other random things… like beauty, freshness, my husband and two little girls.

Cheers to Fri-YAY!

xoxo, Dani

Seattle Wedding : Court in the Square | Sarah & Jason

Seattle Wedding : Court in the Square | Sarah came to us about 6 months before the wedding and booked us to help her with designing her modern-Hawaiian wedding in the city.

We absolutely loved helping bring her simple style to life through the color in the flowers and decor selection. Although I love styling weddings, I just as much enjoy the amazing team that we were able to bring together for their wedding to see everything together and flow just as it should. The bride’s brother officiate and the groom’s aunt conduct their Chinese Tea Ceremony following dinner. It was all just perfect!

Sarah & Jason were one of the sweetest couples to work with. So laid back and loving. Especially when it came to being fully present with their guests at their wedding day. I caught the newlyweds holding babies, loving on the grandparents, and soaking up the merriment with her family & friends.

Thank you so much for allowing me to help navigate such a special day in your lives! I wish you nothing but the best for years to come!

Seattle Wedding: Four Seasons Seattle | Martina & Dan

Seattle Wedding: Four Seasons Seattle | Martina & Dan

Martina & Dan were such a joy to work with! Knowing her family and guests were arriving from Bellingham, and his coming from Alberta, this was very much a destination wedding when hammering out all of the details and logistics, designing and styling their wedding day. From their sophisticated and fun color palate, navy, magenta, white and grey, to the stunning views of Four Seasons Seattle, this wedding was just perfect!

They wed at Immaculate Conception in Seattle and had a beautiful church ceremony. Guests were then directed to mix and mingle over cocktails at Four Seasons Seattle while the couple shared some gorgeous photos together! They had such moving toasts by their loved ones and ended up dancing the night away with the amazing and talented, Austin Beaver.

My team and I had such a wonderful time coordinating their day and working with both Martina & Dan leading up to their wedding to assist with styling and getting the best vendors lined up for perfection! Thankfully, we had such a stellar team to help bring to life their vision of sophistication, glamor, and pure luxury!

Martina & Dan, we wish you both a lifetime of joy, happiness and forever love. Thank you so much for allowing us to be one of the influences on your special day, as your wedding coordinator. We are forever grateful!
