Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond Gardens | Montana & Zach

Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond | Montana & Zach

Seattle Wedding: Black Diamond Gardens | Montana & Zach tied the knot in June after 15 years in the making!

Their wedding was such a dream to design! They wanted their wedding to reflect a classic-timeless style with subtle trending pieces, such as geo-watercolor table numbers, herringbone flatware, and medallion chargers. We chose navy as their main color with blush, rose golds, and a pop of coral to incorporate a Summer vibe. Selecting the perfect rentals with Cort Party Rentals from their beautiful new glassware to Paisley Petals lush blooms of coral and blush garden roses, white hydrangeas, and Italian greenery, it made for such a stunning combination.

Not only do they have incredible love for eachother, they have the biggest hearts and used FaceTime to video in out of town grandparents and even reserved their seats during the ceremony. With both sides of their family knowing each other for such a long time, it felt more of a family reunion and was quite the party!

Designing and styling is always a favorite, since we get the opportunity of working so closely with our couples. We will definitely miss working with Montana & Zach especially with our frequent meetings at Lady Yum and Cactus. Wishing you both a well-deserved honeymoon and happiness that lasts a lifetime!

Seattle Styled Shoot: Four Seasons | Spring Wedding Inspiration

Seattle Styled Shoot | Spring Wedding Inspiration

Spring Wedding Inspiration from our Seattle styled shoot! Can’t believe it’s taken over a year to get this beautiful inspiration up on our blog! We loved putting this shoot together! Each talented vendor that helped and participated enhanced the shoot that much more! We absolutely loved working with this incredible vendor team.

Leading up to the shoot day, we were all carefully watching the forecast. After all, an outdoor April shoot in Seattle is a complete shot in the dark, but we went for it anyway! We waited to set up until there was a rain break, and quickly staged everything as quickly as possible for our lovely and talented photographer, Sonja Morgan with Simply Sonja Photography. She snapped away and got some incredible pictures of the “new” rooftop space booked through Four Seasons Seattle. The views are incredible!

For styling, I wanted to incorporate golds, blushes and the ever popular, marsala! I did this by adding a blush gown from Luly Yang, blush also found in floral and stationery, and a gold palate with the place settings and table-scape! I wanted to highlight the table and modernness of the space by utilizing ghost chairs and glass tables. Touches of marsala are also found in details such as the groom’s shoes, pocket square and pops in the floral.

Despite the weather, this shoot turned out better than I dreamt! Just look at all of the details we captured and again… the view! WOW!

Our shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the following vendors:

Rings: Tacori from Robins Brothers

Friday Introductions: 2017 Interns!

Friday Introductions: 2017 Interns!

2017 Interns| Back in January, we held our interviews for our 2017 wedding planning internship. We had such an amazing turn out and it was very difficult to make a decision on which fabulous ladies to add to our team! After much deliberation, Shannon and I are SO very happy to introduce our two interns, Alyssa & Makenna!

We’ve compiled a few questions for them to share a little more about them with you! Be sure to keep a look out

Alyssa

Friday Introductions: 2017 Interns

  1. What are you most looking forward to this year for your internship?

I’m excited to experience all the details it takes to plan a wedding but, I’m even more excited to be a part of the styling photo shoots.

  1. What is your favorite part of a wedding and why?

My favorite part of a wedding is listening the parents/family toast to the bride and groom. I love seeing their raw emotions and I can’t help but get emotional too. That never fails.

  1. Your favorite pick me up food/beverage?

I LOVE sushi. I recently opened the world of sushi and I quickly realized how much I was missing out for 21 years. I’m never in a bad mood if I’m eating sushi. Coffee is always a go to pick me up. I usually have one or two cups of black coffee a day but, every once in a while I’ll treat myself to a latte with all the extra goods.

  1. Random fun fact about you?

I love line dancing. Every Thursday night, my girlfriends and I take line dance lessons at our favorite (the only) country bar in Tacoma.

  1. How do you like to relax at the end of a long day?

This probably isn’t the most exciting answer, but I have to have my sleep so if I need to relax after a long day I’ll usually go to bed early.

Makenna

Friday Introductions: 2017 Interns!

  1. What are you most looking forward to this year for your internship?

I’m most looking forward to learning about every piece of the behind the scenes work that goes into a wedding. This is like a dream to me to be able to learn all about such an amazing event and I am so blessed to have this opportunity.

  1. What is your favorite part of a wedding and why?
The love that surrounds them. They are just a celebration of love, and I think my favorite representation of this is the look in the grooms eye when he sees his bride for the first time. It brings me to tears!
  1. Your favorite pick me up food/beverage?

Oh thats an easy one. Vanilla Lattes! Its hard for me to start a day without one!

  1. Random fun fact about you?

I could eat breakfast for every meal. My all time favorite thing growing up was when my mom made breakfasts for dinner! I really do light up when I get up and know I have breakfast to look forward too 😉 silly but true.

  1. How do you like to relax at the end of a long day?

I love reading any book by Judah Smith, Journaling, or watching Fixer Upper. I don’t have a whole lot of free time in my life but when I do, you can find me doing any of these things!

Woodinville Wedding: Delille Cellars | Amanda & Adam

Woodinville Wedding: Delille Cellars | Amanda & Adam were married on a beautiful day in August. This was the absolute perfect venue for these two love birds! Romantic, intimate wooded setting for their ceremony and tented draped in white fabric over a patio for their reception dinner.

Amanda & Adam were one of our many couples planning from out of state, so we had many phone calls, Skype meetings and of course fun design meetings when they were in town. Hiring us for design & coordination, we helped put a color palate and decor elements together to make a cohesive wedding scheme. We recommended light airy colors as they wanted a romantic vibe with a little bit of classic-shabby touches. We had beige and neutral linens to keep a classy element and

Come wedding day, we not only saw all of the elements we helped with, but we saw SO many personal details that Amanda & Adam included which made their wedding that much more special! They had their name and wedding date embroidered on their outfits, personalized gifts for their entire wedding party, they even had personalized coloring books made for the handful of littles in attendance. It was such a pleasure working with Amanda & Adam’s semi-destination wedding (they traveled up from California to tie the knot with their Washington family).

Their vendor team was a dream! From amazing catering team, Herban Feast, to stunning floral by Paisley Petals, and even better dance party hosted by Seattle Wedding DJ, their wedding was phenomenal!

Chelan Styled Shoot | Winter Wedding Inspiration

Winter wedding inspiration from our Chelan styled shoot! We have always wanted to do a winter shoot in the snow! Logistically was challenging to plan and coordinate trying to find the perfect location with rentals, and many other vendors near by. BUT we came across the absolute gem of a venue located in Chelan, WA (wine country).

With many of our Chelan vendors available, we selected a date in the winter to make it happen. Luckily, when planning a winter styled shoot in Chelan, chances are… it will be snowy! And snowy it was! It snowed the day before the shoot, leaving a fresh powder to doll up the venue. It was a chilly 19* at that!

For styling, I wanted to incorporate mixed metallics, whites, lots of greenery and some moody pops of color! We did this with navy and blue hues and even tossed in the idea of adding a pink and maroon bouquet design for some of the pictures as well. We had a lovely table-scape complete with copper place cards, fur and marble accents, which was definitely a winter trend this year! We carried this theme throughout the cake and specialty linens as well. We had a dressed up bar cart complete with bubbly, lush green wreath, cake and adorable sign with calligraphy.

Our shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the following vendors:

Seattle Wedding: Woodmark Hotel | Sally & Godfried

Seattle Wedding: Woodmark Hotel | Sally & Godfried were married on a beautiful day in June! They hired us for design & coordination, which is always exciting. Working closely with the couple to find their unique style and bring it to fruition with every single detail. Sally & Godfried’s style is very classic with a touch of sparkle. We selected soft blushes, grey and some mixed metallics to tie their color selection together.

Godfried even released his own designer collection with his and his groomsmen’s suits! His line up of men sure looked dapper! Sally selected beautiful long beaded dresses from Nordstrom for her lovely ladies and wore a Pronovias gown herself with a beaded bridal belt.

Details aside, this couple have true and genuine love for each other. Our favorite moment of the day was when Godfried laid down petals down the aisle for his Bride. We wish you two the very best in your marriage!

Family Pictures | Seattle Photographer

Family Pictures | Seattle Photographer | It’s been a while since I’ve shared some personal pictures. It’s also been a while since we’ve done family pictures! Since it’s overdue on both accounts, I set up a mini session with my talented friend, Meredith, with Meredith McKee Photography!

If you’ve ever done family pictures, trying to coordinate outfits without being too matchy-matchy, and making sure everyone was rested and fed and most importantly happy before we arrived, is no small feat. Well, thinking we left Kirkland with the perfect amount of time to arrive early, but not too early, we faced a major traffic jam on the way. We were well over an hour late due to an accident blocking 520, on a beautiful sunny Seattle day, go figure! And Meredith was so amazing, she was still able to make it happen and we are SO grateful! Not only were we able to use these pictures to announce our pregnancy for baby 3 on our Christmas cards to family, but we are definitely getting some printed for our home!

Here are the highlights from the shoot and I hope you enjoy!

If you ever need some updated family pictures, engagement or wedding photography- Meredith comes HIGHLY recommended!

Lisa Bridge | Seattle Jewelry Designer

Lisa Bridge | Seattle Jewelry Designer

Lisa Bridge | Seattle Jewelry Designer | We had the pleasure of interviewing Ben Bridge’s very own family Seattle Jewelry Designer, Lisa Bridge. After hearing all about her story and even her exclusive engagement story, I feel a little connection with her as my grandmother and grandfather took up a love of gems and jewelry making as a hobby here in the Pacific Northwest.

Lisa Bridge | Seattle Jewelry Designer | Weddings By Dani

  1. How old were you when you found your love of jewelry, and when did you know it was what you wanted to pursue?

I was born and raised around jewelry, so I cannot remember a time when it wasn’t a part of my life.  I often say I’ve been working in the business since I could reach the counters to clean them, and I was probably cleaning them so I had time to stare at all of the beautiful things they contained.

  1. What has been your biggest source of inspiration for keeping those creative juices flowing?

I am inspired by beautiful places and beautiful gemstones.  I often end up sketching while traveling (be it on cocktail napkins, in the blank spaces of a magazine, or an actual sketchpad).  When I sit down in my office to design new pieces, the thematic music turns on, I look at inspiring images from my travels, and I begin to play with gemstones.

  1. What has been your favorite piece of jewelry gifted to you?

Jewelry makes the best gift because each piece is imbued with meaning!  Jewelry is both wearable art and memories that grow over time. If I had to pick one piece, having recently gotten engaged, I’d have to say my engagement ring!  I have been a part of quite a few engagements, but I am still staggered by how it feels – the promise of forever that is held in this ring, that so much love went in to it, and that it will be a part of our love story and our future – it’s truly incredible.

  1. Just for fun, how big is your jewelry box?

I have a nice size jewelry box 😉  I was putting jewelry away from a trip last night and my fiancé commented how much he enjoys watching me put everything away because I look at each piece with so much care and love.  That it’s obvious how much pleasure I get from each one!

…And since we LOVE love stories so much! We were able to get Lisa’s story on her sweet and thoughtful proposal!

“I am in the jewelry business and have been honored to help countless friends get engaged, but getting engaged myself was even better than I had imagined.  I am still in shock that we are getting married, that it all really happened, and that I have a beautiful ring on my finger!

I was sitting at my desk one Saturday and my brother, Marc, walked in to my office (its a family business).  He asked how the day was going and then handed me a card.  I opened it and it was a pair of matchsticks hugging and read “A perfect match”.  We were supposed to babysit for our nephew Asa that afternoon, so the card read:

“Hey Babe, Change of plans for today.  Please uber to the Fairmont Hotel’s Georgian Room for a surprise.  We will see Asa later on.  Enjoy!  Love, G  *Please arrive at 2pm – Fairmont Hotel”

I looked up, stunned.  I knew what it meant, but still asked, “What do I do now?”  to which Marc replied, “You should probably put something on for tea”!

I dashed out of the office and hopped in an uber.  The driver asked how my day was going and I breathlessly responded “I think I’m getting engaged!!!”  She nonchalantly replied “That’s nice” and drove on.

I flew through my house trying to decide what to wear.  I facetimed a friend in Boston to help make the selection.  Being a jeweler, I carefully selected jewelry that had special meaning on this day – a watch from my parents that is engraved ‘Lisa, you are our pride and joy’, a ring I purchased for myself, earrings that have one diamond from my grandmother’s engagement ring and one from my great grandmother’s wedding ring, and one of the first necklaces I designed.

I made it to the Fairmont, shaking slightly, walked in expecting to see Gilad.  I didn’t see him, but his two closest girlfriends (and now good friends of mine) waved me enthusiastically over.  I sat down, excited to see them and have tea, but a bit confused about what was happening.  They said, “We’re having tea!”  We ordered tea and then I asked if I should ask them any questions.  They said that I could ask, but they wouldn’t tell me anything.  After about forty minutes they told me that I would have to eat a little faster and eventually gave me my next card.

The card had a fluffy white cat in between chocolate and graham crackers and read “I want s’more of you!”  Inside it said “Hi Babe, I hope you enjoyed the tea and stories.  I can’t wait for our next tea adventure!  Your next surprise awaits you at 1427 5th Ave.  You’ll know it when you see it.  Love, G”

I walked (or maybe skipped) down the street to Julep, my favorite nail salon.  Does he know me or what?!  I thought.  I walked in and I saw my friend Miranda and my friend Ellen who had flown in from Dallas!  I couldn’t contain myself, it was all happening!  The three of us chatted and got our nails done.  Part way through, that friend from Boston, Allie, facetimed to share a memory with me that started the tears.  They handed me the next card.

The next card read, “Congratulations for being sexy and intelligent at the same time”.  It told me that my 30th birthday was one of his favorite nights (we had gone champagne tasting) and that he wanted to recreate a small part of it.  I walked around the block to that restaurant only to find not only a bottle of pink champagne, but my friends Lauren and Laura who had flown in from Los Angeles!

The three of us giggled through our glasses of champagne and tried to contain our excitement for what was happening.  They handed me my final card that read:

“You are my bucket list”

It told me to go to where we went on our first date, to walk up the stairs and I’d see him.  He couldn’t wait.  Neither could I at that point, I had literally been shaking for a few hours at that point.

I arrived at the bar, walked up the stairs, and in a perfect movie moment, the bartender asked, “Is that her?” and Gilad turned around with two glasses of champagne.  He walked me in to a room we had to ourselves with perfectly romantic music playing in the background (you can’t beat a little Frank Sinatra and Boys 2 Men).  He had red roses waiting for me as we sat down by the window.  He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, got down on a knee and pulled out the most beautiful, wooden jewelry box.

He asked if I recognized the box, I didn’t.  He explained that it is the new special occasion jewelry box for Ben Bridge and I was the very first to have it.  He got down on a knee, told me how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend his life with me, and presented my perfect engagement ring.

We celebrated, hugged, cried, toasted the moment and then hopped in a car to tell my parents.  We got to my parents’ house and opened the door to find my whole family, Gilad’s family who came in from Spokane, and all of our friends who were a part of the proposal and their significant others.

My parents had planned a beautiful celebration for us (a glittering sign that read “Mazel Tov Lisa and Gilad”, straws with engagement rings adorning them, and of course delicious food) and we soaked in the moment as best we could.

It’s still hard to believe that it happened.  I look down at my ring and get lost in not only the beauty, but also the symbolism and the promise of spending our lives together, as a loving, happy team.” – Lisa Bridge
