Family Pictures | Seattle Photographer | It’s been a while since I’ve shared some personal pictures. It’s also been a while since we’ve done family pictures! Since it’s overdue on both accounts, I set up a mini session with my talented friend, Meredith, with Meredith McKee Photography!
If you’ve ever done family pictures, trying to coordinate outfits without being too matchy-matchy, and making sure everyone was rested and fed and most importantly happy before we arrived, is no small feat. Well, thinking we left Kirkland with the perfect amount of time to arrive early, but not too early, we faced a major traffic jam on the way. We were well over an hour late due to an accident blocking 520, on a beautiful sunny Seattle day, go figure! And Meredith was so amazing, she was still able to make it happen and we are SO grateful! Not only were we able to use these pictures to announce our pregnancy for baby 3 on our Christmas cards to family, but we are definitely getting some printed for our home!
Here are the highlights from the shoot and I hope you enjoy!
If you ever need some updated family pictures, engagement or wedding photography- Meredith comes HIGHLY recommended!

Designing this destination wedding for Alex & Betty was such fun. Alex is very analytical and enjoys the details of things including wedding planning, where as Betty is much more big picture and not as detail driven; which is usually the opposite of what I usually see as a planner! It was delightful seeing their wedding come to fruition after a year and a few months of planning!
They very much wanted to include the Pacific Northwest feel in their wedding, which is one of the greatest reasons they booked their wedding at Salish Lodge. They loved the tall pine trees, trails, and of course Snoqualmie Falls. Incorporating the wooded feel (ferns, moss, rocks, succulents) onto their centerpieces, table numbers, ceremony decor.. and utilizing the local, Salish Honey as favors was just the perfect touch to their wedding.
Alex & Betty are very much in love and I was so honored to help them bring their style out in the different decor, flower, and colors we selected. Here’s to many more years of continued happiness and merriment. Congratulations to you both!
Who said a wedding in the woods can’t be glamorous!? This Wedding in the Woods shoot was taken at Shangrila on the Green in Enumclaw. Such an incredible and magical venue if you are looking for a 3 day weekend camp feel!
Shauna and David had their ceremony at Kerry Park on a beautiful September afternoon! Guests arrived and mingled until the ceremony started, as some park regulars stayed to witness two lives becoming one. Such an amazing view!
After the ceremony, guests headed over to Melrose Market Studios on Capital Hill in Seattle. This unique venue features brick walls, cement floors, and amazing wood beams across the ceiling. We had it decorated with white paper lanterns, party lights, and each table had its own arrangement of flowers in mason jars hand selected from Pike Place Market the morning before with their own street sign. Mason jars filled with candles created a warm glow against the bricks.
Catered by Skillet Street Food, cake by Metropolitan Market, and ice cream cookies by Street Treats it was a delicious selection of food and beverages (also in mason jars). DJ Max had the party going and dancing all night! We are so happy for Shauna and David! It was a beautiful day and we are so thankful to be a part of it!
Here is the blog featuring Shauna & David’s sneak peak!
This wedding could not have been complete without the following vendors:
We were so excited to share a little of our last wedding we couldn’t help but snap a few photos during the wedding on our phones! Beautiful ceremony held at Kerry Park with reception at Melrose Market Studios!
We can’t wait to show you the professional shots!

(GORGEOUS Ombre Cake with Orchids from Metropolitan Market)
When I first met Sarah, she was thrilled for her Korean-Christian wedding in June. After meeting Philip, the two were perfect for planning their wedding. Sarah knew exactly how she wanted it and Philip wanted to make sure everything was planned and checked off the list. I absolutely loved working with these two, establishing the flow between ceremony and two receptions that day. It was a beautiful day, the sun came out, and the personalities of both Sarah and Philip shined! Take a look at Sarah & Philip’s wedding day:
Of course this wedding wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful vendors we had the opportunity to work with!
